Hyderabad: Railway police caught a delivery agent for snatching the chains of passengers at the Secunderabad station. Police said the accused, Chinnaiah Veeraraghavulu Akash, 23, used to work in a call centre in the city before taking up a job as a delivery agent.
Mahesh Bhagwat, additional DGP, railways, said that Akash was caught based on technical evidence. His arrest helped solve five cases and the police seized 143 grams of stolen gold from him.
Police said he would target women passengers seated by the train windows. When the train started, he would snatch their gold chains and disappear into the crowd.
