HYDERABAD: The special operations team of Cyberabad police busted an illegal chocolate and lollipop manufacturing unit, MK Sweets, running at Rajendranagar and nabbed its owner Israr Ahmad.
Police said Ahmad had earlier worked in a similar manufacturing company, where he learnt the entire process and about marketing the products. Soon he started a chocolates and lollipops manufacturing unit without any valid food license and other NOCs.
Police said he was manufacturing the products by adding chemicals and using contaminated water. The seized material, including raw material and equipment, and the accused were handed over to Rajendranagar police for further action.
