Tamil Nadu: Ambulance owner killed in revenge murder
Salem: In a suspected case of revenge killing, a 42-year-old ambulance owner was hacked to death by an unidentified man in Salem on Thursday night. Police said a man, around 40 years of age, had called out the victim Parthiban, who was engaged in a talk with his wife Gayathri, son and daughter at his residence on Kannakurichi in Salem district. When Parthiban stepped out of the house, the assailant took out a sickle and attacked him.
The family members immediately rushed a critically injured Parthiban to Salem Government Hospital, but he died on way. The Kannakurichi police suspect the murder to be a revenge killing as few months ago the victim's brother Arulsamy had killed one Sathyaprakash while playing a game of dice.
