Hyderabad: 2 held for harassing women

Both were remanded to judicial custody on Monday.

Hyderabad: Two men from KPHB were arrested by the KPHB police in separate cases for misbehaving with women. Both were remanded to judicial custody on Monday.

In one case, a 29-year-old man working at a car washing centre was arrested for recording the video of a woman who was collecting water from the car wash.

The victim, a 35-year-old housewife from KPHB, complained to police that K. Nagababu, who works at the car washing centre, used to do behave weirdly during her visit to the shed to collect water. On Sunday morning, when she was at the place, he recorded a video on his phone. When the woman asked him to delete it, he refused to do so.

Based on her complaint, a case was booked against Nagababu under sections 354 (D) and 509 of IPC and Nagababu was arrested on Monday.

In another case, a 27-year-old woman from Gajularamaram lodged a complaint with the KPHB police alleging that Sathish Atla, whom she had met in Warangal while appearing for an examination, was harassing her to marry him.

The victim told the police that after her marriage, Sathish who was not in contact for two years had approached her through Facebook and also became her husband’s friend.

Due to his torture, she reportedly attempted suicide, but her husband admitted her to a hospital and she was stated to be out of danger. KPHB police said a case was booked against Sathish and he was arrested.
