Mantri Shankar had started committing offences since 1979. He was involved in more than 260 house burglaries and thefts here and convicted in 209 cases after arrests 22 times. HYDERABAD: Some unidentified persons stole gold and silver puja articles and saris, all worth Rs 45,000, after breaking open the Hanuman temple almirah in Burjgalli, Bagh Amberpet. Amberpet police said they gained entry from the rear of the temple. The priest noticed the robbery when he opened the temple on Monday, police said. The temple does not have CCTV cameras.
