Hyderabad: A decomposed body of an unidentified woman packed in a bag was found abandoned at an isolated place behind an IT hardware company near Srisailam highway, Tukkuguda village, Pahadi Shareef in the early hours of Wednesday.
Police suspect that the victim could have been raped and murdered and her body placed in a plastic bag by unidentified assailants two days back. The victim's age is between 35 and 38 years. Police collected her vaginal swap and traces from her nails and sent them to FSL for examination.
According to Pahadi Shareef police inspector Kashi Vishwanath, a plastic bag was seen by the locals at 6 am in an open place of the factory. They immediately informed the police.
“On reaching the spot, we opened the bag and found the victim's body placed in a bag,” the inspector said.
However there were strangulation marks on the victim's neck and the victim resisted before being murdered, police said. They registered a case under section 302 and 201 of IPC and shifted the body to Osmania general hospital morgue.
Pahadi Shareef police formed a special team to see CCTV footage of the past two days to identify the accused.
