Somalian woman found dead under suspicious circumstances in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A 35-year-old Somali woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the bathroom of her house in IAS Colony, Hakimpet, in the early hours of Thursday.
According to Banjara Hills police the victim, Awo Ahmed Warseva, at 2.40 am had gone into the bathroom and did not turn up.
She did not respond after her husband Liban Abdi Ali knocked on the door. Liban broke open the bathroom door that was latched from inside to find her with bleeding injuries, police said. She was rushed to a private hospital, where the doctor declared her dead.
The couple had come to the city on March 21 this year on a medical visa. Liban’s wife was not able to conceive and had come for IVF treatment, police said. She was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Secunderabad, police said. Banjara Hills police registered a case of suspicious death under 174 CRPC and shifted the victim's body to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.
