Vijayawada: Nallapadu police have taken two persons of Guntur district into custody on charges of luring young girls to perform pujas naked, which would help them become rich.
According to police, such a puja had been taking place at Ponnekallu village of Tadikonda mandal in Guntur district when two of the girls performing puja got suspicious.
The pujari warned them not to leave the puja in the middle, as it would harm them. However, the girls realised they had been duped and lodged a complaint through Disha app.
Police arrested two persons following their investigation. Police have denied reports that the two girls had been raped.
