Miscreant steals police vehicle in Chittoor; Vehicle recovered, suspect arrested
TIRUPATI: A miscreant has reportedly stolen a police vehicle parked in front of the One Town police station, located in the heart of Chittoor City. The incident, which occurred on Monday, caused a stir among local law enforcement, prompting swift action from the District Superintendent of Police, Y. Rishanth

Responding to the situation, Chittoor deputy superintendent of police, Srinivas Murthy, personally took charge of the investigation and quickly began working to locate the stolen vehicle. Following their efforts, the DSP was able to find that the stolen Rakshak vehicle was headed toward Chennai.
According to the DSP, acting promptly, the Chittoor police alerted their counterparts in Tamil Nadu, providing them with information about the vehicle's whereabouts. The TN police tracked down the vehicle in Vandavasi, a town in Tamil Nadu, and also arrested the miscreant responsible for the theft.
Further, a team from the Chittoor police department travelled to Vandavasi, took custody of the suspect, and transported the stolen Rakshak vehicle back to the one town police station in Chittoor.
While the stolen vehicle has been recovered and the suspect is now in custody, the Chittoor police are yet to disclose more details about the case. The investigation is ongoing, and the police authorities are expected to reveal more information once they have gathered all the necessary evidence.
