Hyderabad: In a new development in the nursing student murder case, Parigi police decided to conduct a post-mortem once again on the victim due to suspicions of sexual assault.
The victim's brother-in-law, Anil Kumar, is the key suspect. The police obtained information suggesting that the victim was raped before being murdered, leading them to request the body for further examination.
However, the family initially refused, as they were preparing for the final rites. Police officials held a meeting with the family and village sarpanch to convince them to hand over the body.
The incident occurred two days ago in Parigi police limits, Vikarabad district, where the 19-year-old nursing student was killed and her body was found in a water pond. The Vikarabad superintendent of police N. Koti Reddy formed a team to investigate the case and took custody of Anil Kumar for questioning.
