TIRUPATI: The body of a 24-year-old youth was found in a local tank near Padmavathipuram under Tiruchanoor police limits in Tirupati district on Tuesday. The Police identified the deceased as K. Lakshminarayana, a resident of Korameenugunta ST Colony in Tirupati.
Police said Lakshminarayana, son of K. Venkateswarulu, went out on Sunday and did not return home. Some locals said the youth was seen partying with his friends on the banks of the tank on Sunday evening. However, the body of Lakshminarayana was found in the tank located near Padmavathipuram.
Local people, who found the body in the morning, alerted the Tiruchanoor police who rushed to the spot and fished out the body. Based on the complaint by parents, the police registered a case and investigating. The body was shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
