Five held for murder of realtor over property row in Jawaharnagar
Hyderabad: Sleuths of the Malkajgiri Zone Special Operations Team (SOT) arrested five persons and solved the sensational murder case of a realtor in Jawaharnagar.
On September 9, victim’s wife Rekha lodged a complaint with Jawaharnagar police station that her husband Chatla Venugopal, 42, was murdered by the accused persons at Chennapuram Cheruvu by slitting his throat.
“Venugopal had threatened the accused Paramkusham Pavan and Paramkusham Laxman with dire consequences over some property issues. They developed a grudge against Venugopal and hatched a plan to kill him,” the police said adding that the duo hired killers for the plot.
The accused met the killers — Shivarathri Suresh, Goudi Jagadeesh and Malleboina Sai Kiran — and offered them Rs 5 lakh to kill Venugopal.
Police recovered six knives, a car, two bikes and five mobile phones that were used in the murder. The five accused persons were produced before the court.
