Illicit affair leads to murder in Nandyal
Kurnool: Nandyal police have solved a murder case in Mahanandi mandal, where a teacher had been brutally killed.
Addressing media on Tuesday, Nandyal SP K. Raghuveer Reddy said the victim, Sindhe Narsoji of Peddakottala village in Nandyala mandal, was married to Jayashree.
Narsoji’s wife started having an extramarital affair with Ravindra, a resident of the village. The relationship had gone on for six years, with frequent quarrels, which even led to village elders intervening.
On September 2, an intense argument took place between Narsoji and Ravindra. During the altercation, Jayashree went on to tell Ravindra that he should eliminate her husband. “There will be no consequences if Narsoji is killed,” she reportedly said.
On September 4, around 5 p.m., Narsoji had been returning home from school on his motorcycle. He was waylaid, axed and killed by Ravindra and five of the latter’s friends.
Nandyala taluk police registered a murder case following a complaint by Narsoji's mother, Sindhe Rambai. Police apprehended the suspects on Tuesday afternoon. Police recovered the axe used in the murder from a brick kiln in the village on Chabolu road.
The arrested include Ravindra, Gundapogula Rajesh of Mahadevapuram village in Sirivella mandal, Kale Venkata Ramana, Nakka Chinna Narasimhu and Nallabotula Venkateshwarlu of Bassapuram village in Mahanandi mandal, and Jajjam Nagendra of Peddakottala village in Nandyala mandal, apart from wife of the deceased Sindhe Jayashree.
