Karnataka: Woman, three children stabbed to death in Udupi
Udupi: In a horrifying incident, a woman and her three children were stabbed to death by an unidentified assailant at Kemmannu in Udupi district on Sunday. The
victims have been identified as Haseena (47) and her three children, Afnaz (23), Aynaz (21), and Aseem (14). Haseena's mother-in-law, Hajira (70), who sustained injuries is under treatment at the hospital.
According to Police, a masked man forcibly entered the house and brutally attacked Hasina and her three children in their house and escaped from the scene. The neighborhood, who were alarmed by the victims' cries, rushed to the location.
Haseena's husband, Mohammed Noor, who works abroad, and the family have been residing in the Nejar area. The police team headed by Superintendent of Police Dr. Arun K, visited the scene. Dr. Arun K told reporters that the incident does not appear to be motivated by material gains.
"Five teams have been assigned to expedite the process of identifying and apprehending the culprit," SP said.
