Kakinada: Two persons died while another was injured when a speeding lorry hit an autorickshaw they were travelling in on the National Highway 216 near Darithippa village of Moglaturu mandal. The incident occurred while the three were going to Repalle for labour work.
The deceased were identified as Y. Ravi Kumar, 37, and P. Srinu, 39, of Velanaguru village of Undrajavaram mandal. Both died on the spot.
Mogalturu police station sub-inspector M. Veerababu said the injured person was admitted to an area hospital at Narsapuram.
Mogalturu police registered a case and are investigating.
