Visakhapatnam: A man slit the throat of his wife with a sharp edged cutting instrument over a domestic quarrel at Jalaripeta area under Kallepalle Panchayat in Srikakulam district. The deceased was identified as A. Padma and the accused is A. Golla Babu. The police said that Golla Babu had married Padma around nine years back.
The couple has a seven-year-old boy. On Wednesday, Golla Babu had a quarrel with his wife following which, he attacked her and slit her throat with a knife at around 11 am. The accused man’s father arrived on hearing Padma’s scream and informed the neighbours. When the neighbours reached the spot, Padma was found dead in a pool of blood. The locals say that there were frequent quarrels between the two over the past few months. Based on the information the Srikakulam rural police has registered a case and arrested the accused on Thursday.
