Ganja seized in Moinabad
Hyderabad: Moinabad police of Cyberabad commissionerate arrested two persons and seized 100 Kgs of dry Ganja from them on Friday. Rajasthan native Bavana Khan, working in Medchal, procured the Ganja from Odisha and was in the process of delivering it to Dhoolpet-based peddlers when they landed in the police net, said DCP Rajendranagar R Jagadishwar Reddy.
Based on credible information, the Moinabad PS team rushed to a venture at Surangal village and found two persons under suspicion. They had a car and a scooter with them.
They were identified as Bavana Khan and Nitesh Singh from Dhoolpet. Inquiries revealed that Khan transported Ganja from Odisha and planned to sell it to Nitesh's brother Sunil Singh, a Ganja peddler.
But since he was occupied with other work, he assigned Nitesh to collect the contraband and bring it to Dhoolpet. The duo was sent to judicial remand while a hunt is on for other members associated with Nitesh and Sunil.
