Dr. Sunitha fears violence may return to Kadapa
ANANTAPUR: Dr. N. Sunitha, daughter of former minister and MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy expressed fears that the three decade-old violent history in Kadapa area may repeat if those who have violently murdered her father four years’ ago are not ensured punishment.
She spoke to media after paying respects at the grave of her father in Pulivendula on Wednesday. Other family members of the late leader also paid their tributes.
Sunitha maintained that culprits must be punished. “Normally, we punish children too when they commit mistakes. Similarly, adults must also get punished for their offense, without allowing them to go scot free.”
She recalled that drought-hit Kadapa area had been faction ridden three decades ago. The situation changed due to adequate water sources and education, she underlined. “But the unresolved brutal murder of my father makes it appear as though violence has entered the scene again,” Sunitha remarked.
She expressed gratitude to those supporting her fight for justice.
