HYDERABAD: A delivery boy Bharath Kumar who was harassing a woman by keeping her picture as his WhatsApp DP, sharing her pictures with her relatives and spreading rumours about her, was among several persons caught by the Hyderabad SHE Teams and sent to jail on Saturday. Bharat was sentenced to prison for eight days.
In another case, K. Chandu, working as a driver, who was caught harassing a woman for the past five months and also threatening to kill her and her husband, was sentenced to eight years in jail.
Further, Shaik Qutubuddin, who was harassing a woman on Instagram, was sentenced to eight-day imprisonment. An RTC driver, M. Ramesh Reddy, who trapped a woman, a regular commuter in his bus, by concealing his marriage, was also sent to prison for eight days.
So far, in July, SHE Teams have caught 19 persons harassing women in different cases.
