Hyderabad: Sleuths from Bandlaguda police solved the brutal murder case of a 27-year-old rowdysheeter and blogger Sayeed Bin Abdul Rahmaan Bawazeer with the arrest of the main accused, including Jalpally municipal chairman.
Bawazeer was stabbed to death in his office on the first floor of Buftaim building in Bandlaguda on August 11 night.
According to Chandrayangutta police records, Bawazeer was involved in nine cases, including three Pocso cases, said Ch. Rupesh, DCP (South East Zone) said in a press conference here on Wednesday.
The arrested include main accused Ahmed Bin Hajeb, 20, Mohammed Ayub Khan, while Ahmed Saadi and Abdullah Saadi, Jalpally municipal chairman, Saleh Saadi and Omer Saadi are co-conspirators, Rupesh said.
Hajeb, a rowdysheeter in Bhavaninagar police station records, was earlier involved in six criminal cases. He was arrested and remanded in Chanchalguda prison in 2021, where he met Bawazeer.
After release from jail, Bawazeer lured Hajeb and committed unnatural sex with him. He also pressured Hajeeb to get his friends to satisfy his lust, Rupesh said. On coming to know of Bawazeer’s threats to Hajeb, the latter’s friends Abdullah and Ahmed conspired to eliminate Bawazeer, a regular blogger, who was posting videos about their involvement in extortion and land grabbing.
Hajeb was told by Omer and others that if he killed Bawazeer they would give him Rs 13 lakh, the DCP said.
On August 9, Hajeb called Bawazeer and told him that he had a person to fulfil his unnatural desire. On August 11, around 11.40 pm, Hajeb, Ayub and one Saud reached the office. Once inside, Hajeb threw chilli powder on Bawazeer’s face and stabbed him to death, Rupesh said.
The accused were produced before the court.
