Kozhikode​: The police on Wednesday brought the three people arrested in the case of burgling Rinsi Jewellery, Kallachi, and stealing 1.75 kg of gold and Rs 2 lakh there for evidence gathering.
The suspects are Anjaam Puli (52) of Thiruvallur, Raja (32) of Veerapuram and Surya (33) of Madurai in Tamil Nadu.
They were remanded to police custody by Nadapuram magistrate court on Tuesday. The burglary happened at the jewellery on Valayam road on December 4.
A big crowd was waiting on its premises to have a look at them. The arrested explained their modus operandi to the police.
They drilled the wall of the building on the backside and made a hole to sneak into the jewellery owned by P. Kelu of Vishnumangalam near Nadapuram.
The police is yet to recover the valuables which had been sold in Tamil Nadu.
