HYDERABAD: A 44-year-old man identified as Mohd Ghouse Pasha of Batasingaram on the city outskirts, died in an accident on NH 65 at Abdullapurmet late on Thursday. A speeding car hit the bike he was riding and he was severely injured.
He died while undergoing treatment at Osmania Hospital, police said.
According to police, Pasha along with his friend Shaik Ismail was going towards Abdullapurmet on Ismail’s bike. While taking a U-turn near the Abdullapurmet old police station, a car heading towards Vijayawada, hit the bike.
As the car hit them at a high speed, the duo fell off the bike and landed at a distance. As they received severe injuries, they were rushed to a private hospital in Hasthinapuram. As Pasha’s condition worsened, he was shifted to Osmania hospital.
Police registered a case against the car driver, who fled from the spot, leaving the car at the spot and started an investigation.
