Shanker went to the VC’s residence on Saturday to pay the money. ACB officials entered the house and allegedly caught Prof. Ravinder receiving the bribe. The officials arrested and produced him before the principal special judge for ACB cases here.
Student organisations in the varsity celebrated the arrest of the VC, who has been embroiled in a battle with the university’s executive committee. Prof. Ravinder had earlier faced graft charges in the appointment of outsourcing employees.
