HYDERABAD: Madhapur police on Wednesday arrested 5 persons involved in the murder of rowdysheeter Mohammed Nadeem Hussain, who was stabbed to death on Monday.
According to the police, the accused Shaik Aziz Ahmed alias SK, Aziz Durlab (Durlab), Shaik Rizwan and Podavu Mahesh (Arya) had in the early hours of August 14 stabbed Hussain to death in Bhagyanagar society, Madhapur. K. Shyamala Devi disposed of the evidence.
During interrogation, the accused stated that they had invited Nadeem (deceased), a rowdysheeter of Borabanda police station, to Bhagyanagar society to the birthday party of Aziz, said P. Srinivas, ACP Madhapur at a press meet here on Wednesday.
Aziz Ahmed and Rizwan are childhood friends from Borabanda. When Nadeem threatened to eliminate Aziz’s brother Basha, Aziz decided to kill Nadeem, Srinivas said.
Aziz and Rizwan approached their friend Podavu Mahesh, who agreed to help them in eliminating Nadeem, the ACP said.
On August 13 they invited Nadeem to the birthday party at an isolated area near Bhagya Nagar society. The drinking session stretched till 2.40 am, by which time Nadeem was highly intoxicated. Aziz and Rizwan stabbed him multiple times, police said.
Later Aziz informed about the murder to his friend Shyamala Devi (transgender),, who burnt the bloodstained clothes.
Police seized a KTM bike, two knives used in the murder and four mobiles. Aziz and Rizan were booked under 302 of IPC while accused Mahesh and Sayamla Devi were booked for destroying evidence.
