Udupi man ends life citing terror threat
Udupi: A youth who committed suicide on Monday has in his death note alleged that he was taking the extreme step due to a threat from a terrorist organsiation.
The youth, identified as Vishwas (20) of Markodu in Koteshwar Village, committed suicide around 5.30 pm by hanging at his house.
However, the three-page death note found in his room has raised several doubts.
In the death note, Vishwas cited threat from a terrorist organisation, but did not name it. He, however, provided details about various activities it was involved in.
Sources said that Vishwas has claimed he come to know about the outfit about two years ago and has been keeping a watch on their activity. The outfit had allegedly come to know about this recently. The letter also says that he and his family members were facing threat from the terror outfit.
However sources said that nobody close to Vishwas had any knowledge of Vishwas’ activities nor were they unaware of any threat to him. Kundapur police have registered a case.
