Suspended TSRTC Woman Conductor Dies of Drug Over Dose
Ganji Sri Vidya slipped into depression after she received her suspension letter
Hyderabad: Ganji Sri Vidya, 48, a TSRTC conductor who was placed under suspension, died of medicine overdose, LB Nagar said on Monday. Sri Vidya, deputed to Badangpet depot, has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital from October 12.
LB Nagar police registered a case and started investigation. According to police, after she received her suspension letter, she slipped into depression.
As a result, she consumed medicine in large quantities which she has been using for treating blood pressure and became unconscious. Her family members rushed her to a private hospital, where she died undergoing treatment at 12.30 pm on Monday. On a complaint from her son Ganji Shiva, police started a probe.
