Bengaluru: After 12 years the law enforcement agencies have arrested the man Habib Miyan, who reportedly helped the main accused - Abu Hamza, a Pakistani national, and Ahmed alias Saba alias Farhan from Motihari in Bihar in the December 2005 terror attack in the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) to escape to Nepal after the terror attack, which claimed the life of Prof M.C. Puri and injured several other scientists.

On credible information the Gujarat Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested Miyan on Friday from Agartala in Tripura. The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru police has reached Agartala and is likely to bring Miyan to the City on body warrant.
"Miyan was chargesheeted in the 2005 IISc attack case for helping Hamza and Sabahuddin in escaping to Nepal from India," said an official source. The
IISc attack had brought the city under the international terror radar.
While Hamza is yet to be arrested, Sabahuddin was held in 2007 in Lucknow by the Uttar Pradesh ATS. The trial in the IISc terror attack case began in 2008, but because Sabahuddin was also allegedly involved in the 26/11 Mumbai carnage the Mumbai, the ATS took his custody. He was lodged in the Arthur Road jail in Mumbai.
