The accused Sreedhar has stolen the wallet of a businessman from Vanasthalipuram which had about $1,000 cash.
The police had earlier arrested Nooruddin Sheik, a Wayanad native, who was released after detailed interrogation.
Hyderabad: A notorious pick pocketing offender, who has stolen the wallet of a businessman during Rahul Gandhi’s programme at Saroornagar Indoor Stadium was arrested by the LB Nagar police on Friday.
The accused Thummalapalli Deepak alias Sreedhar has stolen the wallet of Laxma Reddy, a businessman from Vanasthalipuram. The wallet contained about $1,000 in it, besides some identification cards of Reddy.
LB Nagar detective inspector Pravindar Rao said, “The wallet contained the around $1,000. Acting on Reddy’s complaint, the accused, Deepak, was arrested and recovered the stolen property.”
