Narayana College warden found dead in Madhapur
HYDERABAD: A warden was found dead on the campus of the Narayana College at Madhapur on Friday. Her family suspected foul play behind the death of 21-year-old Chekka Bhavani.
Hailing from Pochampally in Yadadri Bhongir district, Bhavani had joined the college on July 11 to work as an assistant warden.
Her elder brother Mohan Kumar told Deccan Chronicle that Bhavani spoke to their grandfather Chandramogili on Thursday night. “She spoke to him every day and on Thursday night she sounded normal,” he said.
On Friday morning, the college management called them informing them that Bhavani was dead. By the time her family arrived at the campus, her body had been moved. “They wanted us to go to the police station and discuss the matter. We refused and wanted to know the facts. They came much later with police protection,” Mohan Kumar said.
Alleging foul play, family members said that the management had not responded to their queries and demanded a fair probe and justice for Bhavani. They also staged a protest at the college campus.
