Hyderabad: Chikkadpally police registered a case against BJP MP K. Laxman, Congress leaders M Anil Kumar Yadav and P Vijaya Reddy and several Congress workers and others for attacking police personnel during their protests following the alleged suicide of Marri Pravalika on Friday night.
Police said when the police attempted to shift Pravalika's body from the hostel for PME, the accused created obstructions and assaulted them. Police took a suo-moto complaint on the incident and registered a case.
Meanwhile, Shivaram, whom the police had earlier claimed to be in a relationship with Pravalika was also nabbed by the police in Mahabubnagar, sources confirmed. Shivaram has been absconding since Saturday, when police announced that Pravalika took the extreme step as she was upset with his cheating.
