Suryapet: A man and his niece died on the spot in a road accident at Gopalapuram village in Huzurnagar mandal after the motorcycle they were travelling on hit a road divider after losing control.
The deceased were identified as Kurra Saidulu (39) and his niece Srinija (8), while Saidulu’s daughter Soumika sustained grievous injuries. According to police, Saidulu, a native of Venktrampuram, was staying in Choutipally in Mattampally mandal, where he was working in a factory. He was living with his family. The road accident occurred when they were returning to Choutipally after attending a local festival in their native place. Soumika, whose condition was stated to be critical, was shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad by ambulance for better treatment.
