2 detained in Hyderabad under PD Act for preparing fake land papers
HYDERABAD: In order to protect the landed properties of the general public under the Rachakonda police commissionerate, police commissioner D.S. Chauhan invoked the PD Act on two habitual offenders involved in preparing fake documents and detained them in central prison, Cherlapally on Sunday.
The police said that the accused collected certified copies and gave them to another accused Shoukat Ali of SR Nagar who used to prepare fake documents by collecting colossal amounts. Then, they used to present unknown persons by giving some amount to impersonate as the original owner and get the plots registered in favour of the purchasers. Gradually they spread their fake documents racket.
The accused were identified as Dadi Dharmender Reddy involved in 18 cases in seven police stations and Donthi Sathi Reddy involved in 4 cases in Bibinagar police station limits.
Despite being convicted earlier, they continued their illegal business.
In 2019 and 2020 accused Dadi Dharmender Reddy @ Dharma Reddy and Sathi Reddy identified two plots bearing Nos 221 of Anil Khurana and 204 of K.B. Khurana. They collected certified copies of the sale deed and with the help of Sikhander, they prepared fake sale deed documents for the said plots. They got AGPA in favour of Chakali Ramu s/o Late Mallikarjuna on 08.04.2019 from the SRO office, Bibinagar. For these two transactions, they produced fake persons. Further, they divided the two plots into five and sold them out to some individual purchasers for an amount of Rs.65,00,000.
Prime accused Dadi dharmender Reddy had recently cheated a Delhi-based person by forging and fabricating their property documents and selling it to other customers.
On a tip-off, Bibinagar police in a joint operation with Malkajigiri zone SOT, arrested all the accused persons including these detenues and remanded them to judicial custody.
Police seized Rs 7,00,000 cash, two cars, cellphones and CC copies of the said plots from their possession, said D.S. Chauhan, in a press release on Sunday.
