Two Friends Swept Away, Heroic Rescue of Harsha, Search Underway for Rahul
Visakhapatnam: A joyous outing for a group of friends at RK Beach here took a tragic turn on Thursday when a teenager went missing and another narrowly escaped a watery grave, near the Kali Matha Temple beach area.
The missing student was G Rahul Kumar, 17, a resident of Yendada currently
pursuing his Intermediate second year.
Police said a group of five friends had gathered at the beach for a swim.
Two of them, Rahul and Harsha, were swept away. Harsha was successfully
rescued and transported to a hospital for medical attention. As for Rahul,
an intensive search operation was under way. The III Town police acted
swiftly.
