Hyderabad: Court Staff Booked for Stalking' Woman
Hyderabad: The Jagadgirigutta police registered a case against a court employee for stalking and sending obscene videos to a woman. According to the police, the victim last week had gone to enquire and file a divorce petition against her husband at a court in Kukatpally.
The accused identified as D. Naresh, while interacting with the victim gained her confidence and managed to collect her mobile number assuring that he would help her, Jagadgirigutta police inspector K. Kranthi Kumar said.
The victim approached the court on Tuesday and lodged a complaint against Naresh stating that he was sending abusive videos on her mobile phone and insisting her to meet him to resolve her issues, police sources disclosed.
Despite the victim refusing to meet and suggest not to post videos on her mobile the accused continued, sources disclosed.
After recording the victim's statement and a written complaint, police collected technical data from the victim’s mobile and registered a case of stalking and harassing a woman under section 354 (D) of the IPC.
The accused is reportedly taken into custody for questioning, reliable sources disclosed.
