More girls trapped by Fayaz Mobeen: Kerala police
KOZHIKODE: Fayaz Mobeen, 20, of Kumbalam, Kochi, who was nabbed by the police on Tuesday for trapping a minor girl from Chevayur, was remanded for 14 days by the district court on Thursday.
He was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by the missing girl's parents a week ago. Though he had trapped more girls by posing as a DJ, so far no other case has been filed against him by anyone, said the police. Chevayur CI K.K. Biju told DC that girls should not fall into the traps set by boys who use them financially and sexually. Fayaz had revealed during questioning about the girls he had met through the social networking sites and other sources, he said.
He advised girls to be extra cautious about their male friends whom they meet through networking sites like Facebook and Instagram. "We are waiting for more complaints from girls who had fallen into the trap of Fayaz," he added.
As per the investigation, the victim girl was taking care of the expenses of Fayaz, including his room rent. The police said that they can take further action against Fayaz only if girls trapped by him file complaints.
