ANANTAPUR: Video footage of a youth armed with a knife chasing another youngster in broad daylight in a cinematic way and attacking him in Badvel town of YSR district has gone viral on Saturday.
Police said Balayya of Badvel town had differences with a youth working at a fuel filling station over money. As a result, the youngster had developed a grudge against Balayya.
On Saturday, when Balayya went to fill fuel in his bike, the youth working at the filling station lunged at him with a knife. Balayya averted the attack and started running on the main road. But his rival kept chasing him for a long distance.
The youth finally caught up and slashed at Balayya, whose fingers got cut as a result. Meanwhile, others intervened and shifted Balayya to a hospital.
Police have registered a case and detained the youth working at the fuel-filling station.
