Hyderabad: A bike taxi driver was booked for sexually harassing and abusing a woman customer, in her mid-20s, who booked a ride through ride aggregator app, on Monday morning.
The woman works as a content creator with a company in Manikonda and was returning home to her residence near Banjara Hills when the incident took place.
Based on her complaint, the Jubilee Hills Police registered a complaint against the rider under sections of criminal force against a woman to outrage her modesty. The police are currently tracking the rider’s whereabouts to arrest him.
The police said that when passing through Prashasan Nagar of Jubilee Hills, the rider started touching the woman inappropriately and groped her while the bike was moving.
As the woman raised the alarm, the rider stopped the bike, pushed her off the vehicle and sped away.
