Parampuzha: Triple murder case trial in final stage
KOTTAYAM: The trial in the Parampuzha murder case in which an Uttar Pradesh native had murdered three members of a family on May 16, 2015 is progressing at the principal sessions court here. The court will examine two forensic experts and the investigation officer within a week and then cross-examine the accused Narendra Kumar, 26, of Rahana, Firozabad.
On Tuesday, two officers of the special operation group at Firozabad had identified the accused and the items stolen by him in the court. Mooleparampil Lalason, 71, who ran a dry cleaning centre at Parambuzha near here, his wife Prasanna Kumary, 62, and son Praveen Lal, 28, were murdered in their house by the accused. The trial began in the first week of June.
Narendra Kumar, son of Kailas Chandra, was arrested from Firozabad by a police team six days after the crime. The 149-page chargesheet submitted by Pampady Circle Inspector Saju Varghese on August 11 last year comprises 72 witnesses, 63 recovered objects and 53 documents.
