VISAKHAPATNAM: The judge for the special Pocso court in Visakhapatnam, G. Anandi on Monday, awarded life imprisonment to a 36-year-old man for sexually assaulting and impregnating his minor daughter in October 2020.
The court also directed the state government to pay ₹10 lakhs compensation to the victim.
The accused repeatedly raped his daughter. He was arrested by Malkapuram police in October 2020, following a complaint from the family members of the victim, after the girl became pregnant.
