WARANGAL: A second-year student of NIT-Warangal died and five others were injured when the car they were travelling in overturned after hitting a central divider at Jangalapalli crossroads of Mulugu district on Thursday, and rammed into a stationary lorry
The deceased was identified as Nissi Sijju, 19, of Eluru in Andhra Pradesh. The others were identified as Shreya, Murthuza, Umar, Sujith, and Sai. They were returning after visiting Laknavaram Lake.
Passersby summoned an ambulance and shifted the students to the Mulugu Area Hospital. After first aid, they were shifted to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Hospital at Hanamkonda. Sai was later shifted to Hyderabad and four others to a private hospital in Hanamkonda.
