Kakinada: A 13-year-old girl hatched a conspiracy and killed her adopted mother with the help of her lover.
Later, she tried to portray her mother’s death as natural. But police smelt a rat and arrested three persons, including another minor, for murder.
According to Rajamahendravaram DSP Vijay Paul, Margaret Juliana (63) and her husband Nageswara Rao had adopted a poor girl as their daughter 13 years ago. Nageswara Rao died in 2021.
Since then, the girl picked up some vices, following which recently, her mother reprimanded her.
On Saturday, Juliana fell down in the bathroom and fainted. Taking advantage of it, the girl informed her lover Gara Ashok (19) who, along with his two friends, arrived and suffocated Juliana to death.
Later, the girl phoned her father’s brother that her mother had become unconscious. He arrived and rushed Juliana to a hospital, where doctors realised that she had died and informed the police.
Police saw suffocation marks and suspected the death. They made inquiries, which led to arrest of the three accused.
Three Town police are investigating further.
