Hyderabad: The 15-day police custody of Hyderabad-based businessman Benoy Babu concluded on Monday. He was shifted to a jail for judicial remand.
The court directed jail authorities to allow family members to meet the businessman in jail and provide medical assistance. ED officials had questioned Benoy Babu in connection with the Delhi liquor scam for alleged irregularities.
In the latest development, CBI officials filed a petition before the Delhi court seeking cancellation of bail which was granted by a lower court to Abhishek Boinapally and Vijay Nair, accused in the liquor scam. The court asked the accused to file a counter.
