Court Grants bail to Bigg Boss winner Pallavi Prashanth

Hyderabad: Bigg Boss winner Pallavi Prashanth and his brother Mahaveer, who sent to judicial remand, were granted bail by a city court on Friday. They will be released after furnishing sureties mandated by the court. City police said they would serve notices to the show organisers. “We will definitely probe their role and serve notice on them,” said west zone DCP S.M. Vijay Kumar said.

Three caught while circulating Manoranjan Bank notes

Hyderabad: The LB Nagar police caught a three-member gang, including Mohammad Bahauddin, a suspended senior assistant in the forest department in Adilabad, while trying to circulate ‘Manoranjan bank notes,’ used by children to play, as genuine currency. The other two were identified as Jampani Anderson and Maggidi Kishan. Duplicate notes with a fake face value of '60 lakh were seized from them.

Police arrest dubbing sound engineer

Hyderabad: The LB Nagar special operations team and Vanasthalipuram police arrested Kalathiripi Jitendra, a dubbing sound engineer in the Telugu film industry, and Veeram Nageshwar, a hotel staffer, and seized 30 grams of MDMA from them. They had sourced the drug from a Nigerian peddler in Bengaluru and brought it to the city, Rachakonda police commissioner G. Sudheer Babu said.

GHMC officials imposes fine on Shopkeeper
Hyderabad: GHMC officials of Moosapet imposed a penalty of Rs 5,000 on a shopkeeper for burning garbage. They were inspecting the place when they found him burning the garbage. Officials of the GHMC sanitation wing urged residents not to burn garbage, and give it to the Swachh Auto Tippers (SATs).
