Hubballi: A group of six decoits tried to loot a Karnataka Bank ATM after attacking a security guard at Srinagar Circle in Dharwad on Monday. The gang ripped out portions of the machine with rods and other tools but could not succeed in taking the money out.
After failing in their efforts, they fled from the spot. They have also stolen the CCTV camera and the hard disk, fearing that they would be identified by the police. The incident occurred early on Monday morning. The gang barged into the ATM when the guard was sleeping inside.
