HYDERABAD: Gachibowli police arrested a youth for posting morphed videos of Bharat Rashtra Samithi, (BRS) MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s poems on social media. The accused identified as Bolli Chandrasekhar, 25, is a resident of Velichala village of Ramadugu Mandal in Karimnagar district.
It was alleged that the accused edited the poems with some morphed videos. Later, the video was deleted.
The case was taken up by Gachibowli cyber cell after a complaint was lodged by BRS workers on March 20. The cyber cell team tracked the accused through his IP number and arrested him from his native place on Wednesday. “We acted swiftly on the complaint, formed special teams and arrested the culprit and remanded him to judicial custody,” Gachibowli police detective inspector Ravinder said.
