Just-born girl was thrown in passageway by her mother: Police
Hyderabad: The just-born girl who succumbed in a hospital was thrown from a height of 13 feet in the passageway of Sadguru Residency, South Kamalanagar on December 18 by her mother, police said on Thursday. The baby suffered internal injuries and died while undergoing treatment in Niloufer Hospital.
According to Kushaiguda police, the mother had confessed that around 10.25 am on December 18, she had thrown her daughter from an adjacent building. The woman had given birth at the house of one of her relative in the same locality.
The woman has been charged under Section 318 IPC (concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body).
The woman was not in a position to be questioned further as she had suffered heavy bleeding caused by trauma, said an investigation officer.
“The case is very sensitive. We are not supposed to disclose her name. We are waiting to take her into custody after she recovers completely, the officer said.
