Anantapur: Pulivendula police on Friday pasted a 41-A notice on the house of Dastagiri, approver in former MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy murder case, directing Dastagiri’s wife Shabana to appear before the police in connection with an SC / ST atrocity case against Dastagiri, who has been in judicial custody for the past 50 days.
A case against Shabana is also pending for assault of a girl over not repaying a hand loan.
Reacting to the notice, Shabana accused YSRC leaders of forcing police to register a case against her and husband.
“As I have been making efforts to get my husband released on bail, YSRC leader Y.S. Manohar Reddy is using police to harass because my husband has become an approver in the case," Shabana stated.
