ANANTAPUR: The IT wing of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams has identified one more fake website in TTD’s name cheating the devotees, who depend on Seva and Darshan tickets online.
The Tirumala one-town police registered a case based on the complaint from the IT wing on Sunday. This was the 41st fake website identified in the name of TTD. Police said the action was initiated earlier against the 40 fake websites.
The fake websites were somewhat identical to the TTD official website. The address of the fake website in the latest case was https://tirupatibalaji-ap-gov.org/. The official website URL is https://tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in/ , which is being used by large numbers of devotees from across the country and abroad to book their darshan, accommodation and seva tickets online.
The AP Forensic Cyber Cell is also involved in the investigations into these cases.
TTD has appealed to the devotees to be cautious and not to fall prey to fake websites. The devotees shall book tickets through the TTD official Mobile App too, which is, TTDevasthanams, the TTD release stated.
