Madurai: A 50-year-old farmer Ganesh from Puluiur village committed suicide consuming poison after a cheetah killed nine goats in his farmland in the village. The farmer and his wife Pichammal, who sustained huge loss in potato cultivation due to failure of monsoon, depend on the goats for their livelihood, police sources told DC. As the cheetah took away all his goats, he, tragically, decided to end his life, said his wife in the complaint. The entire village is in gloom.
