Rape: Jubilee Hills School Ex-chairman Sent to Remand
Hyderabad: A court sent Murali Mukund, former chairman of a prominent school in Jubilee Hills, to 14 days judicial remand on charge of raping his domestic help.
Mukund was interrogated by the CCS police till the late hours on Monday. He was housed in the Bharosa centre overnight and produced before the magistrate the next morning. The police have seized his passport and cell phone.
According to Banjara Hills inspector P. Sateesh, said police had booked Mukund for rape, assaulting a woman, causing injury, voyeurism and criminal intimidation, among others.
Police said Mukund had threatened the victim against telling anyone about his assault. When she confided in his son.
supported his father and physically assaulted the victim. The father-son duo lodged a false case against the victim of stealing a SIM card from their house, police said. Mukund’s son is at large and the police is tracking him for his arrest.
